  • Do I Need A Referral?

    In most cases, no, you do not need a referral.


    A GP referral to one of our podiatrists is only necessary when:

    • You are a Department of Veteran's Affairs white or gold cardholder seeking care;
    • You are seeking treatment under a work cover or third-party insurance claim;
    • Your doctor has recommended treatment as part of a Chronic Disease Management Plan or Team Care arrangement.
  • What Should I Bring To My Appointment?

    If you have been referred by another health care professional, any paperwork or information about relevant imaging relating to your problem would be helpful. We also encourage you to bring your 3 pairs of shoes that you most regularly wear so we can complete a footwear review. 

  • Is Podiatry Covered By Medicare?

    Generally speaking, podiatry services are not covered by Medicare. The exception to this is if your GP determines you require Chronic Disease Management (formerly known as an Enhanced Primary Care Plan or EPC). In this case, you may be able to access a rebate for up to 5 visits per year to an allied health provider, including podiatry. Please speak to your GP for further information.

  • Will The Consultation Hurt?

    The majority of patients will experience no pain at all in a general consultation. You can trust in the warm, caring approach of our podiatriss. 

  • Can I Claim My Private Health Insurance Rebate At The Time Of The Consultation?

    Yes, we have HICAPS available on site and most Private Health Insurance funds allow for instant claiming, meaning that you may only need to pay the gap.

  • Is There Wheelchair/Disability Access?

    Yes, our clinic is wheelchair accessible.

  • What Should I Wear To My Appointment?

    Please wear clothing that is loose fitting below the knees to allow for assessment of your gait and feet.

  • What If I Need To Cancel My Appointment?

    We ask that you contact the clinic as early as possible to allow us time to reschedule your appointment. Repeated cancellations at short notice may incur a cancellation fee.
